1. Introduction
TraderNSYT ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our trading journal platform, including account-linked product analytics described in Section 3.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information (name, email address)
- Trading data you import or enter
- Journal entries and notes
- Settings and preferences you configure in the app
Signup, onboarding, and product analytics metadata
When you create an account or use the Service, we collect limited account-linked product analytics and attribution metadata to understand signup sources, onboarding completion, product activation, and app performance. This metadata is stored with your account and may include:
- Signup method or provider (for example email, Google, or Apple)
- Platform and signup surface (for example web, iOS, or Android)
- App version, build number, and environment (staging or production)
- Browser family, operating system family, and device class (desktop, tablet, or phone)
- Language preference (ISO 639-1 code only, such as "en" or "fr")
- UTM campaign parameters, referral code, and referrer domain (hostname only)
- Onboarding progress, step timestamps, completion or skip timestamps, and related duration metrics
- Product activation milestones, such as first dashboard view, first broker connection attempt or completion, first CSV import attempt or completion, first Flo message timestamp, and activation completion timestamp
This signup and onboarding metadata is linked to your account as limited account-linked product analytics and attribution data. It is separate from optional privacy settings in your account (such as analytics opt-out or crash reporting toggles), which govern other telemetry categories.
3. Signup Metadata We Do Not Collect
For the signup and onboarding metadata feature described above, we do not collect or store:
- Raw IP addresses or hashed IP addresses
- GPS location, latitude, longitude, or precise geolocation
- Country, region, state, province, city, or postal code derived from your connection
- Timezone inferred from your device or network
- Precise device identifiers or advertising IDs (such as IDFA or GAID)
- Raw User-Agent strings
- Contacts, address book data, or sensitive traits such as race, religion, politics, health, or income
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process transactions and manage your account
- Send technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Measure onboarding performance, signup attribution, campaign effectiveness, and product activation
- Debug onboarding and product issues and improve the user experience
Our legal bases for processing include providing the Service you request, legitimate interests in operating and improving the product, and account management obligations.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We may temporarily store referral or UTM campaign parameters in your browser's local storage (key: tnsyt_auth_attribution) until you create an account or complete your first authenticated session. After account bootstrap, allowed attribution fields are saved to your account record and the temporary client-side buffer is cleared. We use authentication cookies and similar technologies required to keep you signed in.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as:
- Cloud hosting and database infrastructure
- Authentication providers
- Payment processors (for billing)
- Analytics or diagnostics providers, if enabled, subject to your settings where applicable
These providers process data on our instructions and only as needed to deliver the Service.
7. Data Retention
We retain account information, trading data, journal content, and account-linked signup and onboarding metadata while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or handle associated data according to our account deletion practices, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tradernsyt.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
